Gary Tachell

Gary has an extremely versatile background from professional surfer, race car driver and musician. In the beginning of his film career, he worked in various departments including production, grip, lighting, props and location scouting. But his love for cinematography led him to the camera and he was sworn into the INTERNATIONAL CINEMATOGRAPHERS GUILD in 1990. He now has well over 20,000 hours from behind the camera on national shows. Through the various stages of Gary’s career he has worked on over 50 national commercials, 15 television series, 10 made for T.V. movies, plus feature films, industrials/corporate films, product promos, local and regional commercials, music videos for CAROL KING, NATALIE COLE, ISAAC HAYES, ANTHONY MICHAEL HALL, TOM PETTY and many others.
